Another 'conviction' for this is that marriage is for procreation.. I guess that means that people in their 50's or 60's and beyond don't need to be married either, since they are past their childbearing age. Couples unable to bear children should also re-think their current marital status.
How intelligent are these arguments? What can be any rational reason to prevent 2 people from making a life long commitment to each other? Why do we as a society want to tell people who they should love?
